This wool jersey, 100% Made in Italy, 100% in high-quality Merino wool, is the faithful replica of the official Salvarani cycling team of 1972. A historic jersey, certified and guaranteed by the Salvarani family.

The jersey is made exclusively in Italy by artisans specializing in high-quality traditional products. To ensure quality and compliance and to be able to certify, all the stages of processing and finishing were followed and controlled directly by the family of the Knight of Labour Renzo Salvarani "exstraordinary man" and founder of the eponymous company that in the 1960s and 1970s spread first in Europe and around the world Italian modular kitchens.

History of the jersey

The 16 riders of the Salvarani Sports Group under the sports directors Vittorio Adorni and Arnaldo Pambianco who wore and honored the official jersey of 1972 were the following: Marino Basso, Pietro Campagnari, Emilio Casalini, Luigi Castelletti, Alessio Gimondi, Felice Gimondi, Enrico Guadrini, Pietro Guerra, Hercules Gualazzini, Belgian Toni Houbrechts, Primo Mori, Roberto Poggiali, Belgian Guido Reybroeck, Giacinto Santambrogio, Guerrino Tosello and the Swiss Roland Zoeffel. With this jersey the team cyclist Salvarani has scored 38 victories, 8 with Felice Gimondi, 7 with Marino Basso and 7 with Reybroeck. The most prestigious victories of 1972 were the following: World Championship on individual road with Marino Basso, the Italian championship of Felice Gimondi, the Italian track championship chasing Pietro Guerra, the Italian championship on indoor track of the pair Marino Basso- Pietro Guerra, the Giro di Sardinia by Marino Basso, the Tour of Canada by Guido Reybroeck, the Tour of Catalonia by Felice Gimondi, the Giro di Romagna by Pietro Guerra, the Giro dell’ Appennino by Felice Gimondi, the Bernocchi Cup of Marino Basso , the Three Varesine Valleys of Giacinto Santambrogio and the G.P. of Lugano by Felice Gimondi.
